This role will report directly to the CBI Manager and will be responsible for reviewing business intelligence needs and planning an effective medium and long term strategy that will enhance the capabilities and optimise the total cost of ownership of the CBI platform. More precisely, your main tasks will be as follows: = Architecture Strategy and platform roadmap planning: Define a strategy for the CBI platforms evolution through an improvement roadmap and oversee a supporting business case: - Lead a review of the current CBI platform 'hotspots' to determine platform solutions that will optimise both the capabilities and total cost of ownership of the CBI platform. - Define a CBI platform improvement roadmap - Relate the resolution of 'hotspots' as a result of your CBI platform improvement roadmap to business outcomes in a business case to gain business support - Coordinate a medium term (6-18 month) CBI platform roadmap plan that will support the CBI platform improvement roadmap and the 2008/2009 business projects roadmap (the new business requirement needs). - Lead an assessment of CBI platform capabilities against business needs and define a long term (18+ month) CBI platform strategy with supporting business case - Build relationships with key stakeholders across the business to ensure understanding of the value the platform can provide et to gain support for the right investment strategy. = Architecture and technical governance: - Ensure effective technical governance of all changes to the platform - Interface with CBI analysts and Products et Solutions (P et S) project managers to understand the technical needs et impacts of P et S roadmap projects on the CBI platform. - Guide solutions for P et S roadmap projects in line with your vision for the platform - Review and accept solutions (including solution cost acceptance) from vendors in response to business and functional requirements from CBI analysts.
- University degree (preferably Computer/IT related) with Marketing and Business exposure - Strong background (at least 10 years) in Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence architecture and design, preferably with Telco, Banking, or Consulting experience. - Expertise in 'big picture' architecture and solution design - Proven experience in providing pragmatic technical solutions to solution/platform weaknesses through a review of both objectives and designs (where necessary using lateral thinking, i.e. ability to look at problem in another way) - Expertise in Planning and Coordination - Proven record of leading business cases for platform investments - Proficiency level in English (preferably French also).
