Main responsibilities: - Devising, advising and monitoring the strategy for the whole Nord Stream permitting process on the international level - Implementing a communication strategy aiming at public authorities, NGOs and media - Advising an anti-crisis plan and recommending deployment of anti-crisis capacity - Preparing decisions and presenting identified options to Deputy Technical Director - Reporting the national permitting status and milestones to Deputy Technical Director and Coordinators - Controlling the involved sub-contractors - Representing Nord Stream to authorities, NGOs and other stakeholders in communications and meetings - Developing necessary technical optimizations to improve chances for a permit and negotiating with engineers - Organizing and chairing Task Force meetings
The ideal candidate will have: - Masters Degree or equivalent in Law Engineering or Economics - 4+ years of experience with public authorities - Proven experience in pipeline engineering or related engineering areas - Proven experience in strategic management and crisis management in large scale construction or energy projects - Leadership experience and strong intercultural skills - Experience in PR and lobbying - written and oral communication with stakeholders - Proven ability to achieve results in a fast paced environment and quickly understand complex technical issues - Proven ability to remain calm under pressure - Proven sensitivity regarding political environments, actors and issues - High flexibility to travel frequently - Fluency in English and German; Russian preferred Michael Page Contact : Your application will be sent to Antje Amrhein (Zurich office), please quote the job reference VAAM29247.
